Our Story

In 1973, two brothers, Tony and Bud Waldon, had a fateful encounter at a car dealership in Cornelia, Georgia. A conversation sparked the idea of starting a body shop business together, fueled by Bud’s belief that they could make a significant impact in the industry.

With their prior experience in local body shops and a shared passion for cars, Tony and Bud opened W & W Body Shop. Armed with a modest shop, a few tools, and a paint gun, they embarked on their journey. As the years passed, the business flourished, expanding from two bays to multiple bays, additional equipment, and a growing team. Beyond building a successful business, Bud and Tony forged lasting relationships within the local and surrounding communities. They also gained renown for their expertise in building remarkable Hot Rod cars, each fueled by their unique automotive passions.

After 39 years of dedicated service, Tony and Bud decided to retire in 2012, bringing an end to a remarkable chapter. However, their love for cars and the friendships they formed over the years remained strong.

Now, with great privilege, Tony’s son-in-law and fishing partner, Chuck Akers, has reopened the shop as W & W Collision Center bringing it to heights it had not seen before. Chuck has dedicated himself to stay on top of the advancements in the automotive industry to put your family safely back on the road. W & W Collision Center is committed to repairing vehicles properly and making a positive impact on the community.

While we encourage everyone to drive safely, accidents can happen, and we understand the frustrations they bring. We’re here to help you through these challenges and restore your vehicle to its former glory, providing you with that rejuvenating feeling of driving a brand-new car.
